Having received his Masters degree in Saxophone Performance at UCLA, Greg serves as an on-call saxophonist for the New World Symphony in Miami, has been heard on the airwaves of K-Mozart in Los Angeles, has played in the 2007 Ginn Resorts Spoleto USA Festival Orchestra, and served as the Saxophone Fellowship student for the 2007 and 2008 Aspen Music Festival. Greg has studied with Dr. Douglas Masek, Bil Jackson, John Harle, and William Trimble, has performed in masterclasses with Greg Banaszak and Gary Keller and has had the privilege of sharing the stage with such renowned performers/conductors as Steven Mackey, Kathleen Battle, Jens Lindemann, Leonard Slatkin, Michael Tilson Thomas, David Robertson, David Zinman and Michael Stern. Having played some of the world's most prestigious concert venues, including UCLA's Royce Hall, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Carnegie Hall, Greg was also recently featured in the Jan/Feb 2009 issue of the Saxophone Journal ("A Lesson With Greg Chambers"- by Greg Banaszak).
As a jazz/pop saxophonist, Greg has worked with Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter, recorded at Capitol Records, studied with Eric Marienthal, and has had his newest single, "Here With You", not only picked up for a jazz compilation album by Atlanta-based label, Shut Eye Records & Agency, but also has had this track win the 2007 Artist Underground Summer Jazz Competition. His debut smooth jazz album, "City Lights", has received praise from fellow saxophonists Dave Koz and Steve Cole, listeners, promoters, and record executives and has been featured on radio and podcasts in the US and abroad.
